Capturing Love in Fergus: A Charming Engagement Session in the Heart of Ontario's Historic Town
As wedding and engagement photographers we're always on the lookout for locations that offer a mix of natural beauty, historic charm, and a touch of magic. Fergus Ontario delivered all of that and more during a recent engagement session with a wonderful young couple - and their adorable dog!
Fergus, once known as "Little Falls" due to its scenic waterways, is a hidden gem in Wellington County. The town's historic downtown is a photographer's dream, with its quaint shops and old limestone buildings. Crystal was nostalgically reminiscing about the old town as she called the town her home for many years.
For this session, we started in the heart of the old town, near the old market as it provided the perfect backdrop for this couple's love story.

We wandered through the garden, capturing candid moments of laughter, and stolen glances. From there we explored the history downtown, stopping here and there to take photos wherever the lighting was just right. Fergus is a town that begs to be explored on foot, and we made the most of it. We strolled past the charming library, the grand theatre and an old factory. Each location, even the alleyways, offered something unique, as well as the rustic textures of the old buildings.

Megan and Brandon's engagement session was just the beginning of their wedding journey, and we're thrilled to be capturing their nuptials this August. We can't wait to see how their love story unfolds and to document the next chapter of their lives together.
If you're considering Fergus for your engagement session or wedding, we highly recommend it. The towns's historic charm, natural beauty and warm atmosphere make it an ideal location for capturing timeless memories.
To Megan and Brandon, than you for letting us be a part of your love story. We're so excited for your wedding and can't wait to celebrate with you in August!!
